MEET THE TEAMβ VP COMMUNICATIONS, Aaliya π
When did you pledge?
I pledged in W20 with the Ontario Gamma chapter at the University of Guelph! While I did get to pledge in person, my initiation was online with other chapters from across North America (as it was the first time ever doing it online, they put us all together), which was unique.
What is your fav Pi Phi memory?
My favourite Pi Phi memories include: my director of new member experience taking my pledge class to see the Va**na Monologues play put on by our university (two sisters were directing it!), a really fun sisterhood where we went to see the university musical (βHeathersβ) that was directed by another sister, and taking graduation photos across campus with my entire senior class.
How would you describe yourself when making friends with a new Pi Phi sister?
I would describe myself as open to making new friends! I enjoy exploring the Toronto area, reading, and watching movies/plays/ballet. Feel free to reach out if we have similar interests, or if youβre just looking to connect with Toronto area Pi Phi alum :)

MEET THE TEAMβ VP FINANCE, Kayla .kopel ππ
When did you pledge:
I pledged in Winter 2021 when Pi Phi was fully online due to COVID. I was in my first year at the University of Guelph and feeling quite isolated, doing nothing but staying home and studying all year. Pi Phi helped me get to know some wonderful new friends and allowed me to have a support group both virtually and when classes were back in person throughout my undergrad!
Favourite Pi Phi memory:
I had 2 littles throughout my time in Pi Phi and I really enjoyed the whole process, from putting together gifts for them, to big-little reveals, and acting as both a mentor and friend! These unique relationships are very rewarding, and I also enjoyed getting to know my Pham at events such as initiation.
How I would describe myself when making friends with a new Pi Phi sister:
Although I can be shy at first, I am always friendly and interested in getting to know new people better and finding common ground! Feel free to reach out anytime :)

MEET THE TEAMβ TAAC PRESIDENT TORI .rg ππ
What year was your pledge class?
I pledged in the fall of 2020 when everything was online and I felt super alone. It seemed like a wonderful time to take advantage of sitting behind a screen and turn it into a good thing. Little did I know Iβd find my group of friends who have now become family.
What is your fav pi phi memory?
My favourite pi phi memory is getting my little!! It was such an honour to be asked if I wanted to take on a little and my immediate reaction was YES. I was overjoyed when I got to reveal myself to her and Iβm endlessly proud of who she is!
How would you describe yourself when making friends with a new pi phi sister?
Iβm a very outgoing person whoβs happy to just say hi to everyone! My favourite part about getting to know someone is finding out what they love to do in life because I think everyoneβs favourites (activity, colour, etc) says so much about them. I love talking and will yap forever so please feel free to message/call/find me in person!!
