Everything you know about design through your experience as a framer will undoubtedly complement this course and add nothing but credibility to your function as a custom framing designer. It's time to rebrand yourself and take a closer look at your job description. The school separates the designers from the decorators as it deals in the elements and principles of design and how they are directly related to your everyday function as a designer. You will not be inundated with a complex interior design school format made up of only the elements and principles of design. Once you learn that there are only two classifications of mouldings worldwide, it will make the learning process a lot simpler. Imagine what your customer thinks the first time entering your business and seeing hundreds of mouldings with no actual rhyme or reason to them. The Period Design module in the school takes the myth out of the moulding and puts it into a specific period whereby your customer sees how that Art Deco moulding fits so well with that Chrysler Building image. Or how would you identify an Art Nouveau moulding to fit a Sarah Bernhardt image. There are nine periods of design that directly relate to the mouldings we show. The school also cover the latest trends in home decor and color marketing along with definitions on how they got started and what mouldings fit that specific trend. Even though picture framing has been around for many years, it has never lost its ability to offer such an array of colors, finishes, profiles, and designs. Now’s the time to keep up with the changes, continue to do what you do best, realize your relationship to Home Décor market and trends, and build your brand as a Custom Framing Designer.
