🎓 Celebrating the First Graduates of the DFL–UFV Partnership!

Last week, we proudly celebrated a milestone for the Daughters for Life Foundation and the University of the Fraser Valley.

Chifaa Bouzid (Morocco) and Alaa Abdallah (Egypt) have become the first graduates of the DFL–UFV partnership, demonstrating the transformative impact that access to higher education can have on talented young women from the Middle East and North Africa.

Through the support of UFV and the DFL scholarship program, both scholars pursued Post-Baccalaureate Diplomas in International Business, building the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to advance their careers and create positive change in their communities.

DFL Executive Director Jacklin Ibrahim attended the convocation ceremonies on behalf of DFL and had the opportunity to meet with President Dr. James Mandigo and David McGuire, Associate Vice-President, UFV International, to celebrate this important milestone and recognize the impact of the DFL–UFV partnership.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire UFV community for believing in the power of education to transform lives. We also extend a special thank you to David McGuire for his leadership, advocacy, and unwavering support of DFL scholars throughout their journey at UFV.

This graduation is more than a celebration of two remarkable young women. It is a testament to the power of partnership, opportunity, and investing in future leaders.
