NEW Kindergarten Piano (ages 4-5): take the next step after Preschool Music classes in preparation for private piano lessons!
Kids Choir (ages 7-12): learn to sing with others!
Songwriting (ages 7-12): learn the fundamentals of writing music and create your own masterpieces!
Performance Masterclass (all ages!): gain important insights into how you perform and present onstage in this class!

Registering for group classes supports Action A of the Core Value 'Empathy (learning to understand and care about others’ feelings)'.

CORE VALUE SPOTLIGHT: Empathy

The very first (but not most important!) Core Value on our list is Empathy. How do we learn to understand and care about others’ feelings in the context of a music school?

There are three practical ways!
✔️ Participate in at least two WSM group classes, masterclasses or workshops
✔️ Perform in a non-profit, charitable or benefit concert
✔️ Perform a piece of music at a WSM recital written by a composer outside the Western Cannon

Which one are you starting with? Have you completed any of these?

We expect that during your family’s time at WSM, you will see your child grow in these areas as well as adjacent ones, and that they will develop skills as a contributing member of our community; inspiring action, leading change and building relationships.

Meet the Director: Sarah Murley-Hauser ()!

🏠 Hometown: Richmond Hill, ON
🎼 Sarah started violin lessons at age 6, and started piano lessons in her teens
🎶 Her favourite composer is a toss up between Bach, Beethoven, Mozart & Handel
🍦 Her favourite ice cream flavour is Candy Cane Crunch
💙 When she isn't working on WSM things, you can find her hanging out with her family & dogs or scouring FB Marketplace for her next big antique find
