πŸ–ŠοΈπŸ“šπŸŽ¨ Yesterday, Churchill Elementary students had the opportunity to participate in an engaging and interactive workshop with Freeze DNA, a family-run children’s comic book publishing company based in Brampton, Ontario.

With a mission to design, create, and educate, Freeze DNA has inspired young minds through creativity and storytelling. Their outstanding community work earned them the Excellence in Community Impact Award from the Toronto Business Development Centre.

To date, Freeze DNA has engaged thousands of students through workshops at schools, libraries, and community events across Canada and the United States, and has published more than 20 learn-to-draw comic art books.

Thank you to the Freeze DNA team for sharing your creativity, passion, and expertise with our students. It was an unforgettable learning experience!

A big thank you to our amazing volunteers who help make Wednesdays a little easier for families! πŸ•πŸ₯—πŸ

Today, they were busy delivering delicious Boston Pizza lunches that meet Board nutrition standards, featuring pasta, fresh salads, chicken, vegetables, pizza, and more. With gluten-free and halal options available, this program helps ensure there is something for everyone.

The Wednesday lunch program is something many parents have been hoping for, and we're delighted to offer a convenient, tasty, and inclusive meal option each week.

Thank you to everyone who helps make this program a success, from our dedicated volunteers to the families who support it. We love seeing our school community come together!

🐾 This morning, our Kindergarten students were treated to an exciting interactive animal show, made possible through the fundraising efforts of the Churchill School Council! 🐒

Students had the opportunity to learn about and experience a variety of fascinating animals up close, creating memorable hands-on learning experiences that sparked curiosity and wonder. 🦜

A big thank you to everyone who supports our fundraising initiatives. Your contributions help bring enriching opportunities like this to our students and make a meaningful difference in their school experience. πŸ€

Last week, we had the joy of welcoming the newest generation of Churchill Bears to our school community!

School Council gave each student their own Winston Churchill Bear sticker as they posed for photos with our mascot. We enjoyed the opportunity to meet and connect with the families.

Welcome future Churchill Bears, we look forward to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year together!
