A quick message from Estelle Saab from McGill University, the Enactus 2026 Woman Leader of the Year: “I hope to inspire more women to step up as leaders, believe in themselves and help build their communities.”

We're bringing the heat this summer starting June 15! 🔥 Join the Early-Stage Summer Sprint – open to all postsecondary students enrolled in a Canadian university.

- 6-week virtual accelerator designed to turn early-stage ideas into impact-driven ventures
- Identify a community challenge, build and test MVPs, with support from mentors
- Participate as a team or an individual
- The final stage of the Sprint is the Early-Stage Competition, which acts as a qualifier for the Early-Stage final at the Enactus World Cup in São Paulo

Congratulations to Okanagan College the 2026 Enactus Canada National Champion! After an epic final-four showdown, this team has been chosen to represent Canada at the Enactus World Cup in São Paulo, Brazil this November.

Paper Trail is an eco-friendly fire brick made from unrecyclable books and local beeswax, offering a lightweight alternative to firewood.

A HUGE shoutout to the runner-up, Saint Mary’s University and their projects Square Roots, tackling food waste, and Alaggi, a bio-plastic seaweed alternative to plastic film.

Humber Polytechnic and Wilfried Laurier University rounded out the top four finalists.

Thank you to all teams, faculty advisors, judges, partners, and Canadian Tire Corporation for supporting the final round of competition! Let’s cheer on Okanagan College as they prepare to take the global stage!

We’re excited to share the National Champion of the Innovation and Impact Challenge! Saint Mary's University and their project Alaagi, a biodegradable alternative to industrial plastic wrap.

Powered by Enactus Alumni, this challenge empowers Enactus teams to identify, create and deliver new and innovative projects that address real-world problems.

In addition, a National Runner up and Second Runner up were also named.

Second Runner-up: Okanagan College, Paper Trail

The National Champion of the 2026 TD Entrepreneurship Challenge is Wilfrid Laurier University for their project Kuponya Innovations.

Seven regional finalists competed in the National Finals, where Kuponya Innovations impressed the panel of judges for their entrepreneurial innovation and social impact.

Congratulations to the runners-up, who also received funding to scale their venture:

Runner-Up: Saint Mary’s University, Gluten Free Living
Second Runner-Up: Simon Fraser University, SKYES

Thank you to TD Bank Group for their commitment to supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs. A total of $27,000 in funding has been awarded to student-led ventures across Canada this year.

For the second year in a row, Okanagan College is the 2026 Canadian Tire Environmental Sustainability Challenge National Champion. The team won top honours for their business venture Paper Trail, a more sustainable, lighter alternative to traditional firewood.

Also receiving recognition for their circular economy innovations:

Runner-Up: Acadia University, Carbon Roots
Second Runner-Up: University of Windsor, 100% Fish

Announcing the National Champion of the Desjardins Community Empowerment Challenge – Simon Fraser University for their project Unify, a digital platform dedicated to supporting newcomers as they settle into new communities.

This community-focused challenge empowers teams to create projects that strengthen local communities by addressing evolving needs while enhancing sustainability and economic resilience.

Two other teams were named finalists in the competition:

Runner-Up: Wilfrid Laurier University, Sapphire
Second Runner-up: Acadia University, Resilient Youth

Congratulations to Connor Kapahi, representing the University of Waterloo and their groundbreaking innovation Mandel Diagnostics for winning the 2026 Student Entrepreneur National Competition.

Mandel Diagnostics is revolutionizing eye care with a non-invasive device that helps optometrists detect early signs of macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness.

In the final round of live competition, judges of local business leaders, watched live presentations from the top three finalists. Runner-Up, Laila Burns from the University of Ottawa, was also recognized for Sielo Robotics.
