This weekend, the Lincoln Alexander Chapter of the Canadian Hispanic Bar Association had the privilege of attending the third annual CHBA Student Chapter Summit, hosted by .

We were grateful for the opportunity to learn from a distinguished panel of speakers, including The Honourable Justice Marcela S. Aroca of the Tax Court of Canada.

LALSA is overjoyed to announce that we have successfully raised $1002 for the Centre for Spanish Speaking Peoples (CSSP).

We would like to send out a special thank you to all the students, faculty, and staff who showed their support today by purchasing our delicious Latin treats. We are so happy to have been able to share a small piece of ourselves with you all and more than anything are so thankful to be able to provide the CSSP with this much needed donation.

The CSSP is an incredible organization that has provided the Spanish speaking community within Ontario with a variety of services over the last 48 years. Some notable services include:

· A Legal Clinic working in support of Legal Aid Ontario to provide advice and representation to the Spanish-speaking community in Ontario.
· The Newcomer Settlement Program which helps newcomers settle into their lives in the Greater Toronto Area and vicinity by providing a range of free services aimed at supporting clients to live independently.
· The Women’s Program which offers services to women who have experienced or are suffering from domestic abuse through counselling services.

If you or anyone you know is interested in learning more about the CSSP or in donating, we highly recommend you reach out to their amazing team.

✨LALSA is hosting a fundraising event!✨

Members of our Executive Team will be preparing traditional Latin American dishes for purchase. This is our way of sharing a small piece of our culture with the community, while contributing to a deserving Latin American organization.

100% of the proceeds coming from sales will be donated to the Centre for Spanish Speaking Peoples ("CSSP"). The CSSP has provided the Ontario Spanish Speaking community with a variety of services for the past 48 years. Some notable services include:
