Women in Science and Engineering - University of Toronto (WISE UofT) looks to promote the education of women in the fields of science and engineering.

The University of Toronto’s Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) looks to promote the education of women in the fields of science and engineering. To develop women’s leadership skills, confidence, and involvement in research and technology, WISE focuses on building a supportive community of men and women through a number of initiatives.
• Our Community Outreach Initiative allows us to expand our club outreach into the community at large, through the organization of volunteer based events.
• Our Professional Development Initiative hosts two major networking events during the year with top companies in Entrepreneurship, Sales, Software and IT, Engineering, Medical Affairs, Technology Consulting, Science Consulting, and Pharmaceuticals.
• To encourage high school students to pursue science and engineering at the university level, our High School Outreach Initiative visits high schools across the GTA to educate girls about exciting opportunities they have in post-secondary school.
• To create a network for women across Canada, WISE hosts an Annual National Conference where delegates hear from high-level speakers, participate in diverse workshops, and have the chance to compete in world class competition
• Our WISE Blog creates a forum for sharing experiences and an opportunity to connect with other like-minded individuals.

WISE UofT × WISE Guelph are coming together for an afternoon of Women in STEM, mentorship, networking, and friendly competition!
Join us on October 17 for a Women in STEM professor panel and Q&A, followed by roundtables, networking, and an Engineering vs. Science Jeopardy competition!

✨ Are you a female or non-binary high school student interested in STEM? This is your chance to join the WISE High School Mentorship Program!
As a mentee, you’ll be paired with a UofT student pursuing a STEM-related major who can share their university experiences, offer guidance, and support you as you explore your own interests and career aspirations. Through weekly meetings, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss projects, ask questions, learn about different STEM pathways, and build a meaningful connection with your mentor.

On August 29, WISE teamed up with Canadian Blood Services for our Blood Drive! 💜🩸

Each year, Canada needs 100,000 new first-time blood donors to help meet the needs of patients across the country. We’re proud to share that 7 first-time donors joined us at our drive and took that important first step toward making a difference!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and donated. 🙌 Missed this one? WISE will be hosting another blood drive this winter, so stay tuned for more details!
