I am not impressed with VIPKid this morning, for real! My student showed up more than 16 minutes late for her assessment. I reached out to the Firemen 🔥☄️and they still made me do the assessment anyway. I was told to do my best. Not sure ‘bout you, but I am not getting many students these days, sooooooo I do not want to mistreat the ones I have? I mean this is a child; the adults should make a decision. So I ended up giving away 15 minutes of my time today. It goes without saying that I opened a case and let VIPKid know that they had made my naughty list again. I mean, the teacher has IT issues, they get a Teacher_IT Problem status, an obnoxious email and no pay. I get it, no work, no pay but; I have even been kicked out of the class in the middle of teaching because I had Teacher IT issues. Here is the kicker, they didn't pay me even though I was teaching when they kicked me out of class. Can you believe that? But when the student is late because of IT Problems, they punish the teacher instead. Something is wrong with this picture! Ok I am not feelin’ VIPKid right now! Are you guys with me or am I just being petty?

Anybody out there got persistent parents trying to wear you down until you give in to their timeframe?
How many times do you have to reject a 3:00 am booking before the parent realizes that it’s never going to happen?🤷🏽♀️Apparently ‘I don’t book any classes before 5:00 pm Beijing Time ‘ does not translate very well into Mandarin! Gives new meaning to the words ‘Lost in Translation’! Somebody please tell me how to make it stop. 🛑
I’m actually beginning to feel guilty about saying no. 😢
