Ikebata Nursery School

We had a wonderful time celebrating the Tanabata Star Festival on a beautiful day on July 5th🎋
All of the children enjoyed the Somen noodle stream lunc🍜
The younger classes used the Somen stream machine indoors, and older classes used the water channel as a stream outdoors.
There were lots of smiles and laughter🥰
７月５日に七夕祭りを開催しました🎋
みんなで流しそうめんランチ🍜
年少組さん達は流しそうめんの機械で、年中・年長組さん達はトイを使っての流しそうめん。
みんな笑顔で、賑やかな笑い声が響いていました🥰

All these precious Nursery children were thrilled to perform on such a grand stage for the annual year-end concert❣️
They delivered an outstanding performance, and we couldn't be prouder of them💝
＜イヤーエンド・コンサート、卒園式　2024年6月26日＞
ナーサリーの園児達みんな、ワクワクドキドキ、とっても楽しみにイヤーエンドコンサートという大きなステージの上で最高に素晴らしい発表をしてくれました❣️

Little late posting...
We had a 'Kodomo no hi (Children's Day"' event on May 3rd. It was a beautiful day, and our Koinobori (carp streamers) looked stunning in the sky🎏
Also, we were lucky to have various types of Sakura trees still blooming too, which added to the festivities, and, of course, all the children had a great time🥰

ちょっと遅い掲載ですが...
こどもの日のイベントを５月３日に行いました。素晴らしい天候に恵まれ、私たちの鯉のぼりも青い空に見事に映えて素晴らしかった〜🎏
幸いにもいろんな種類の桜の花がまだ咲き誇っていてお祭り気分を盛り上げてくれていて、もちろん、子供達も大喜びでした🥰

After the Somei-Yoshino Sakura blossoms had finished blooming, the double-flowered cherry trees burst into beautiful bloom🌸
We feel truly grateful that our Nursery is surrounded by a variety of stunning Sakura blossoms🥰

ソメイヨシノが終わった後、今度は八重桜の花々がなんとも美しく咲き誇っていました🌸
私たちのナーサリーは数々の違う種類の綺麗な桜に囲まれて、本当に恵まれており、本当に有難い限りです🥰

【Tea Ceremony 】
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed Michelin-starred restaurant, Kaiseki Yu-zen Hashimoto, for hosting an authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony for our Nursery's oldest group of children.
This was an extraordinary experience, as the children had the privilege of learning about Japanese culture from the revered Master of the Omote-Senke(表千家） school of tea ceremony, Soui 宗名／宗為 (Mr. Nakada, Toshihiro) from Japan.
The children were greatly engaged throughout the traditional Japanese snack-making and tea ceremony, held in the serene tea ceremony room of the restaurant.
They demonstrated impeccable manners, which left a lasting impression on the Master and his assistants☺️
We are deeply grateful for this exceptional opportunity and hope that the children will treasure the memory of this enriching experience💝
【茶道体験／お点前】
今回、トロントでのミシェラン一つ星に輝く、懐石遊膳　橋本レストラン主催の茶道のワークショップにお招き頂き、年長（ぶどう組）の園児が参加させて頂きました。
ご指導下さったのは日本からお越しの表千家流の宗為（仲田敏弘）先生で、橋本レストランの本格的なお茶室にて園児一人一人にお点前を披露して下さいました。
また、お茶の前に羊羹と麩焼きせんべいお茶菓子作りも体験させて頂きました。
今まで正座すらしたことのない園児たちは皆、和菓子作りもお点前も興味津々で、お行儀良く取り組む事が出来ました☺️
日本にいてもなかなか出来ない事をこのカナダで体験出来るまたとない機会を与えて頂き、本当に感謝しかありません。
卒園前の園児にとっても忘れられない良い思い出になったのは間違いありません💝

It is absolutely breathtaking scenery and we feel so blessed that we can see this every single day 🥰
