Spelling Bee of Canada

Spelling Bee of Canada Spelling Bee of Canada (SBOC) organizes annual families of schools and community spelling bees aimed at youth 6 to 14 years of age.

SBOC was established in response to a need within the community for a stimulating, educational program, outside the regular school curriculum, which would focus specifically on English language basics.

Today, Spelling Bee of Canada recognizes the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 🧡🪶

As a Canadian organization dedicated to children, literacy and education, we believe learning also means understanding our country’s history, listening to Indigenous voices and reflecting on the experiences that continue to shape communities today.

We honour the children who never returned home, Survivors, their families and communities, and the histories, cultures and resilience of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.

Through education, listening and continued learning, we can help build greater understanding and a more respectful future for the generations to come.

Every Child Matters. 🧡
