Big news for Canada's workforce and economy.

Prime Minister Mark Carney just announced AI for All, Canada's new national AI strategy. The goal? Make sure Canadians, businesses, and communities actually benefit from AI, not just watch from the sidelines.

The targets are ambitious: 250,000 AI-related jobs by 2031, nearly $200B in economic growth, and AI adoption among Canadian businesses jumping from 12% to 60% by 2034. The strategy also includes free AI training for Canadians and extra support for small and medium-sized businesses getting started with AI tools.

Our CEO Steven Wang put it well: if we want Canadian businesses to succeed in an AI-enabled economy, we need to make sure the next generation of talent has real opportunities to build practical experience.

Read our full breakdown of what's in the strategy and what it means for workers, entrepreneurs, and organizations across the country.

We welcome the federal government's AI Strategy and its focus on AI adoption and workforce readiness.

Canada's opportunity isn't just to lead in AI research—it's to help businesses, especially SMEs, adopt AI successfully while ensuring students and early-career workers develop practical AI skills.

Through our work-integrated learning programs, employer partnerships, and SWPP-supported initiatives, Venture for Canada is already helping bridge these two challenges.

Canada doesn't just need AI creation. It needs AI adoption. And that means helping businesses and talent grow together.

ETA (Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition) is becoming one of the most interesting paths into entrepreneurship because you don’t need to start from zero.

But buying a business without understanding due diligence is how people end up inheriting problems instead of opportunity.

And that’s EXACTLY why we built ETA Bootcamp Montreal.

Over 4 weeks, participants learn how to source deals, evaluate businesses, understand financing, and build a real acquisition strategy alongside operators, investors, and acquisition experts.

If you’ve ever caught yourself browsing business listings and wondering “wait… could I actually do this?” this program is for you.
