Well, that was a busy weekend!

First week back and we hit the ground running - with RCC students participating in multiple events across the city, including Toronto Police 33 Division with our neighbours, SickKids Heatwave at Woodbine Beach, a specialty outreach supporting patients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, and an off-site Canine Massage Workshop.

And all of this while our weekend classes and Student Clinic continued back at RCC as scheduled.

Weekends like this wouldn’t be possible without the incredible RCC team behind the scenes, our instructors, supervisors and community partners - and, of course, our students and workshop attendees.

Yesterday was a pretty special day for our students. In the middle of the professional football season, they had the opportunity to work directly with professional athletes in their training facility, providing treatments under the supervision of our RMT team. It was a chance to work with high-performance athletes, encounter conditions and treatment considerations that aren’t always seen in the classroom, and experience firsthand what massage therapy can look like in a professional sport environment. A great learning experience - and one we’re incredibly grateful to have been invited to be part of.
