**IELTS (International English Language Testing System)**
The IELTS is one of the most recognized English language proficiency tests globally. It is designed for individuals who wish to study, work, or migrate to countries where English is the primary language of communication. IELTS evaluates your English skills in four areas:
1. **Listening:** This section lasts for 30 minutes and includes four recordings of native English speakers. You will answer questions based on these recordings.
2. **Reading:** This section, lasting 60 minutes, consists of 40 questions. It tests reading skills such as understanding main ideas, reading for detail, skimming, understanding logical argument, and recognizing writers' opinions, attitudes, and purposes.
3. **Writing:** In the 60-minute writing section, there are two tasks. Task 1 requires you to describe, summarize, or explain a table, graph, chart, or diagram. Task 2 asks you to respond to a point of view, argument, or problem.
4. **Speaking:** This section involves a face-to-face interview with a certified examiner. It lasts between 11-14 minutes and assesses your spoken English skills through short questions, speaking at length about a familiar topic, and a structured discussion.
IELTS is accepted by over 10,000 organizations in more than 140 countries, including universities, employers, immigration authorities, and professional bodies. Achieving a high score on the IELTS can open doors to numerous opportunities around the world.
