Long known as the flagship program at the Rotman School — and at every business school — the Full‑Time MBA has been a launch pad for the careers of many successful professionals. On June 17, Supun Thalagala will join his classmates on the stage of Convocation Hall to receive their well‑deserved graduating honours, the culmination of years of hard work, study and professional development. This year’s Full‑Time MBA valedictorian, Supun addresses his classmates with a message that captures just how far they’ve come over the course of this demanding program, developing the ability to demonstrate strength, rally together and make smart decisions in challenging times.

The GEMBA‑HLS program attracts some of the brightest lights in healthcare and the life sciences and brings them on a journey of personal and professional growth at some of the top centres of global innovation. Luciana Catanese has the honour of representing them as valedictorian at this year’s Convocation ceremony on June 17. In this video, Luciana sets the landscape of challenge and innovation facing the sector and describes how the program’s exposure to industry leaders — and to how healthcare is handled in other countries — has given her a clear “perspective on what is possible” and where she can make the greatest impact.
