Plastic Action Eco-Fair Volunteer
A youth run initiative which aims to reduce the use of plastic bags in the GTA and help our planet as well as a part of Volunteer Toronto's Youth Innovators Project. The event will raise awareness of the negative impacts of plastic bags and consist of engaging activities such as face-painting, upcycling plastic bags into new commodities (ex. jump ropes, flowers, bracelets), customizing reusable bags, and creating a plastic bag tree sculpture.
When:Saturday, May 23rd, 2015
Where:at Evergreen Brickworks from 1:45pm to 4:00pm. Volunteers must arrive at 1:00pm.
What you will get as a volunteer:
• Volunteer hours
• A certificate of partipation in Change the World Week (from the Ontario Government and Volunteer Toronto)
• Invaluable experience and skill development
• A chance to participate in the activities yourself!

BIG BIKE EVENT VOLUNTEER-Toronto
We are looking for volunteers who can assist us at Big Bike events and are able to commit at least 3 events in the spring and summer months between Apr 30-Aug 26, 2015 A Big Bike Event is a fun filled event day with 8-10 corporate teams who come out to ride a crazy 30 seat bicycle right on the streets of Toronto.
Event day VOLUNTEERS will help with all aspects of the Big Bike Event:
Ø Set up of counter
Ø Registration of Corporate Teams
Ø Warm up activities before Big Bike Ride
Ø Taking photos of Big Bike teams
Ø Handing out prizes to Big Bike VIP fundraisers
Ø Event tear down at the end of the day
Event days normally run from 8:30am until 5:00pm and volunteers are required to volunteer the whole day.

Join Evergreen - Uncover Your Creeks
Where:Artisan Park (west of Leslie Street, between 16th Ave and Major Mackenzie Drive East)
When: May 9, from 10 am - 12 pm.
What: Help conduct simple water quality tests on Beaver Creek in Artisan Park! Please wear weather appropriate clothing, long pants, sturdy footwear (rain boots are encouraged), and bring a water bottle. Gloves, tools, water and snacks will be provided!
