2 days until Tamakwa 2026! ⏳🦫
We're running towards the finish line. It's almost here!
The campsite is ready... but it isn't Tamakwa without the campers.
In two days, South Tea will come alive with familiar faces, first-time arrivals, cabin reunions, and the campers who turn our campsite into a children's village in the heart of Algonquin Park.

3 days until Tamakwa 2026! ⏳🦫
The campsite is ready. Staff training is wrapping up, preparations are nearly complete, and excitement is building.
But it's still far too quiet. In just three days, South Tea will be filled with the sounds we've been waiting all year to hear — the campers!

5 days until Tamakwa 2026! ⏳🦫
Pre-camp is well underway, and our staff are getting ready for an incredible summer ahead. All that’s missing is the campers! Five days until early morning mist on the lake, Tootsie Footsie breaks, canoe trip memories, and that perfect view from the Slope.

A Pointer rounding the bend into Tea Lake with camp finally in sight; a moment every Tamakwan knows. You pass the Lucky Log on the right, Treasure, Jerry's and Adventure to the left, and then suddenly, Tamakwa comes into view. The boathouse. The slope. Camp waiting for you.
No matter where your journey begins, the last few minutes are always by boat.
We can't wait until these Pointers are full of campers again next week!

10 days until Tamakwa 2026! ⏳🦫
Ten days out. Are your duffels packed? In less than two weeks, we’ll be going on early morning paddles, watching trips paddle out into the park to the sound of "the sterning report" together after breakfast, and ending each day with taps.

Throwing it back to the early 1950s in honour of this weekend's upcoming annual Tamakwa T-Shirt Day! If you look closely, you'll see the Pioneers in this photo have Tamakwa Lodge written on their shirts. In the early days, Tamakwa had two distinct sides: Camp Tamakwa for Boys, run by Unca Lou Handler, and The Tamakwa Lodge for Girls, run by Lou's sister Esta Handler Kraft.
So, if you've ever wondered why the Tamakwa song lyrics are "What a Lodge! What a Camp! What a place!"... that's why!
THIS SUNDAY, MAY 31 grab your favourite vintage shirt and show your Tamakwa spirit!
