We are looking for a fundraiser to help us expand and diversify our funding! OPIRG Toronto has prided itself on challenging the typical non profit model, being a fiercely independent member led non profit at the forefront of social and environmental justice issues for over 4 decades. We need your help to keep it that way, we are looking for a talented and driven individual to help us ensure we can continue providing the critical services we offer thousands of students and social movements in Toronto by building out, diversifying and modernizing our funding structure. If your someone who has ample experience in grassroots social justice spaces and a talent for raising funds for campaigns, social movements and progressive issues we want you!
We will be accepting applications until we find the successful candidate. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

OPIRG Toronto, FoodShare Toronto & the Toronto Seed Library invite you to join us for our latest Food Justice & Cooking Workshop ~
WHEN: Wednesday, February 11th
5:30-8 pm
WHERE: UTSU Student Commons - 230 College Street (Entrance on Huron Street)

This interactive workshop will explore the role of war and imperialism in relation to ecological 'foodprints'. How does settler colonial violence impact indigenous communities' access to food, fertile land, agricultural practices, and traditional harvesting methods? We will look at Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza as a case study. There will be a mix of discussion-based and hands-on learning, centering indigenous perspectives & collectively cooking a traditional, wholesome Palestinian recipe (vegan).
*Masks are strongly recommended when not eating.
*The building & workshop space are wheelchair accessible
*Gender neutral washrooms are available.
Reach out to us about any other access needs.
