“Ice cream. The full scoop” by Gail Gibbons. This is a great resource for teaching your kids about the science of ice cream. It’s a level two book but younger kids can still help read along. Get them to draw and write down the ingredients and methods. This book even teaches you the history of ice cream as well as production.

Science experiments in the park. “Catching bubbles” is a great activity for understanding surface tension and estimating.
