The official page of the Toronto Chapter of Delta Upsilon International Fraternity

Founded on November 4th, 1834 by thirty freshman, sophomore, and junior students at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Delta Upsilon is one of the oldest fraternities in North America. Delta Upsilon is different from other fraternities in a major way: it is non-secret. Since our founding, we have made the ideals and principles that guide our existence public: the Promotion of Friends

The ΔΥ Brothers are thrilled and proud to introduce our newest Associate Members.

While ΔΥ‘s mission has always been to Build Better Men, our new members already distinguished themselves with their thoughtfulness, compassion, and sociability. We cannot wait to see them complete their initiation and become full on Brothers of the Delta Upsilon International Fraternity!

Repost from

St. George St: Next door to 180 St George, is the chapter house of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. The architectural style is known as Workers Cottage, designed by Eden Smith and completed in 1911. Officially known as the Harris L Hee's House. The 1921 Toronto Blue Book (a directory of well to do Torontonians ) lists the following:
HEES, MR. and MRS. HARRIS L. (nee Good)
182 St. George Street
Summer Residence, "Rathburnwood"
Receiving Day, Friday
Don't try and come on a Thursday. That's when the coal gets delivered!

If some would be interested in the history of the fraternities and sororities, let me know below and I can do a separate post later on.
