Jaclyn Serre Voice Studio offers private voice and guitar lessons out of her home studio in Victoria Harbour, ON. Due to the Covid-19 virus, Jaclyn is now offering ALL voice and guitar lessons through Skype!

Jaclyn has been singing at the professional level for over 15 years. She is a graduate of the prestigious Music Theatre Performance program at Sheridan College, where she received extensive training in voice technique, music theory, ear training, acting and dance (ballet,tap,jazz). Since graduating in 2012, Jaclyn has performed all over Ontario with various theatres and bands. Notable credits include: Jessica Smith in the ORIGINAL workshop of the now TONY AWARD WINNING Canadian Musical "Come From Away" (Theatre Sheridan), Nancy Wilson in "Crazy On Heart" A Tribute to the band HEART, Joanne Jefferson in Rent at the Panasonic Theatre (Theatre Sheridan), and Kate Monster/Lucy in Avenue Q (Lower Ossington Theatre).

As a vocal teacher, Jaclyn's focus is to grow the voice to its full potential. Teaching proper use of diaphramatic breathing, support and resonance, Jaclyn works with her students to develop a strong, healthy and sustainable voice. She also works with her students on developing their ear and pitch through scales, harmony and various exercises. Through these exercises, students will also develop agility and a wider vocal range.

As a guitar teacher, Jaclyn teaches the fundamentals of chording, strumming patterns and scales, as well as an introduction to music theory. She also works with her students on accompanying themselves to sing and play the guitar simultaneously.

Jaclyn's goal is to make you fall in love with your instrument, be it voice or guitar, so that you can take the skills you've learned and use them in a way to best express yourself as an artist. She believes in a fun, light-hearted approach with lessons that suit each student and their individual needs.
