🌟 𝗚𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥 𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗢𝗨𝗥! 🌟

What does it mean to be a Gold Star dancer? 💛✨

It’s not just about learning your steps. It’s about 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀, 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

As you’re dancing, take a moment to think about these 6 Gold Star behaviours:

⭐ Am I in my full uniform and ready for class?
⭐ Am I encouraging and supporting my classmates?
⭐ Am I asking questions when I need help?
⭐ Am I being kind, respectful, and positive?
⭐ Am I listening to corrections and putting them into practice?
⭐ Am I ready to learn, try my best, and have FUN? 🎉

These are little things you can 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 to help you become the best dancer and best classmate you can be! 🌟

Keep shining, dancers! 💛✨

Tomorrow, September 30th, we wear orange to remember the children who never returned home, honour residential school survivors, and recognize the ongoing journey toward truth and reconciliation.

If you’re able, wear orange to Pegasus tomorrow night as a small way to show your support, honour those affected, and keep the importance of remembering close to heart.

Every child matters. 🧡

Being a great dancer isn’t just about learning the steps. It’s also about being aware of the people around you. 💭

In dance, we work closely with others, which means noticing social cues, respecting personal space, knowing when someone needs a little encouragement, and understanding when to give someone a moment.

Having the right people around you, teammates who are kind, respectful, and socially aware, can make all the difference. 🫶

A strong dance community is one where everyone feels comfortable being themselves, supported by the people around them. 💜
