art Works art School
is a community based art school whose mandate is to introduce adults, teens and children to the enriching world of art and design through a combination of traditional and contemporary studio practices and historical references. Art Works Art School was originally located in the Baby Point District of Toronto Art Works Art School which also housed the Frank Hoff Library, Art Works Art Gallery, and Art Works Art Store. Although “The blue house on Jane” has had to close their physical location, we remain online, offering virtual art programs to our students citywide. This is a nutritional program developing personal expression, imagination and self-esteem, planting the knowledge of art and design at a young age. The Seedling Programs are for students ages 7-11. This well-balanced yet rapid growing program is providing the fundamentals in art, design, technique and proper use of materials, to grow into a blooming confident artist. The Budding Programs are for students ages 10-13. This growth program focuses on developing technique and encouraging confidence with different mediums. This developmental stage is to strengthen our budding artists portfolio for High School applications. The Flowering programs are for students ages 14-18. Students are given more opportunity to work independently, learn to develop art, fortify their technique with materials, tools and create an eye-catching portfolio, specific to their requirements for High School and Post-Secondary School applications. The Ripening Programs offer a variety of painting and drawing classes for the beginner as well as the more experienced plant in a supportive and structured environment. March Break and Summer Camp corresponds with the TDSB/TCDSB holiday schedule. Camp ages for Camp are for 4-6, 6-9 and 8-16 years.
