Life, challenging at the best of times, is always made that much easier when you are among people as joyous and unselfconsciously genuine as those who work at Breakfast Television

Love coming here no matter at what ungodly hour 😵‍💫…

Demonstrating how to make Temaki (hand roll), using a different kind of rice. Riceberry rice is a whole grain, nutrient-dense, and packed with all kinds of good stuff that get lost in the milling process (which is what happens when you remove the germ and bran from white rice). Kids love it, especially when they get to invent their own rolls out of them.

Check out the segment with me and as well as the recipe on here:

Our Story

With over 25,000 participants and counting since 2008, this is the most popular sushi-making class in the universe- just ask any alien.

Irreverent and fun, and one that requires good hand-head-heart co-ordination. It begins with a brief history of sushi and Japanese culture to offer context. Then it becomes a hands-on activity, meant to draw out the Inner Sushi Chef in you.

There are 3 levels (I. Making Makimonos. II. Sashimi & Nigiri. III. Super Makimonos & Plate Arrangement), each taking you to the next stage on the course of becoming a great sushi chef.

Take photos to send to your friends and family to prove your culinary genius; eat, drink and just be merry.

You will also learn a thing or two about what you are putting into your body.

It’s all about sport, sustainability, and social justice.
