What is cyclosporiasis?
From the CFIA: "Cyclosporiasis is an illness of the intestines caused by a parasite called Cyclospora. The most common way that [it] is spread is by eating food or drinking water that contains the Cyclospora parasite.”

Low-acid fruits (like melons) MUST be stored between 0 and 4 degrees celsius after they are cut open.
If left out at room temperature, bacteria can grow.

Check out this year's Spring EcoFair Toronto 2026, where Canadian Food Safety Training will be offering a free, hands-on Métis-inspired weaving activity where participants create simple woven pieces using recycled cardboard weaving boards. Visitors of all ages are welcome to participate. They invite the community to BYOY — bring your own yarn to contribute to the collective weaving table and help reduce textile waste while celebrating creativity and connection.
