For some people the holidays are a time of great joy and celebration, for other people they are not. In Canada 10 people die of su***de every single day. Males are three times more likely than females to die by su***de, while females are three times more likely to attempt su***de than males, leading to an increase in hospitalization. Between 2014 and 2018, 4,121 people died by su***de each year. Over 3.3 million people older than12 have suffered from suicidal thoughts and behaviors. 14.7% of all Canadians have thought of su***de and 3.5% have attempted to commit su***de in their lifetime.
