Get to know our wonderful PGY1, Dr. Pranjan Gandhi!
Hometown: Mississauga
Best experience in residency thus far: There are too many to choose from! Finally realizing my dreams and hearing Dr. Gandhi for the first time; Learning from mentors to operate and perform life saving surgeries; Sitting at a patient's bedside and learning about them and their families; Singing TikTok trends in the morning while rounding; And many more!
Favourite Hobbies: Collecting watches, playing hockey and volleyball, chess, and travelling
Reason why I chose UofT Neurosurgery: 1) Diverse training experience - Toronto uniquely offers the ability to learn from world renowned experts at 4 different sites that allows residents to learn a plethora of surgical techniques and be exposed to all aspects of neurosurgery; 2) People - I felt incredibly supported and welcomed as part of the team during my medical school elective at Toronto. This feeling of being supported, even in the middle of the night while on call, has been instrumental as a new physician
Favourite Place in Toronto: My apartment - specifically my bed where I can catch up on sleep
