We are very excited to add to our team of teachers. Originally from the musical city of St. Johns, Newfoundland, Jessica is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She is experienced in teaching contemporary voice, choral singing, piano, beginner guitar, songwriting, music technology and production, music theory, and early childhood music. Jessica is passionate about accessibility, with experience supporting students with diverse accessibility needs, including neuro-divergent and visually-impaired students.

As an educator, Jessica is patient and adaptable, taking each student’s individual interests and needs into consideration, all while equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of theory, technique, ear-training, composition, and improvisation. Her holistic approach draws from classical, jazz, and contemporary music practices. Jessica encourages curiosity in her lessons, prompting students to think beyond the notes on the page and engage with music as a tool for expression, self-discovery, and even play.

When she’s not teaching, Jessica is actively writing, recording, and performing original music, sharing stories and laughs with Toronto audiences and beyond. An accomplished songwriter, Jessica is a recipient of SOCAN Foundation’s Young Canadian Songwriters Award. She is an alum of the TD Incubator for Creative Entrepreneurship, FACTOR’s Artist Development Program, and the Folk Music Ontario Developing Artist Program. Most recently, Jessica attended Soundweavings, an intercultural music residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Banff, Alberta. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Music from Humber Polytechnic, where she currently teaches part-time as a vocal coach and music production tutor. She has called many places home, including Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Germany. If you would like to take lessons with Jessica, please get in touch with us!

We are super excited to introduce our new piano, violin, and vocal teacher named Yun. Yun is a composer, producer, and jazz pianist based in Toronto, Canada. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, she discovered her love for music at an early age and was classically trained before developing a passion for jazz and contemporary music. Deeply rooted in jazz, she began her musical journey studying jazz piano at Kyung Hee University in Korea, building a strong foundation in performance, improvisation, and composition. She later completed her Master’s in Music Technology and Digital Media at the University of Toronto, expanding her artistry to include contemporary production and sound design.

As a performer, Yun has toured internationally and worked as a session keyboardist, sharing the stage with many talented artists. She has played at major festivals such as Osheaga and Sommo, bringing her soulful touch and creative energy to every performance.

Alongside her performing career, Yun is passionate about music education and loves helping students grow their confidence and creativity through music. With over a decade of teaching experience, she offers lessons in piano, violin, and basic vocals, tailoring her approach to each student’s unique goals and interests. Her warm, encouraging style makes lessons both inspiring and enjoyable, whether students are just beginning or preparing for advanced study.
