Rashmi Mishra is an accomplished Kathak Performer and has been training and mentoring her students from all over india for over 18 years now. She has also performed at several national and International platforms. She runs Rashmi Academy of Performing Arts and the focus of the academy is to promote and popularize Kathak in it's purest form and also make the students comfortable based on their skill levels while training them in the step-wise fashion. Those who wish to learn semi-classical, folk or record dances, for them there are separate batches. The academy specializes in training of Kathak style of Lucknow Gharana, which is famous for its grace, beauty, speed and Abhinaya (expressiveness). Special training courses are available for foreigners and expatriates. General Classes:
Once or twice a week for one hour for the Elementary level training. Twice a week for one hour for Intermediate and senior level classes. The students appear for the examinations of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and Prayag Sangeet Samiti every year. Special Classes:
Special classes are conducted for foreign students who want to learn Kathak for a particular time duration. The training is on one-to-one basis. Conducted by Rashmi Mishra or her staff, as per the availability. RAPA is centrally located in Mumbai, India at Hiranandani Gardens, Powai.
