On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day we remember the survivors of residential schools and we remember the children who never returned home.

As we reflect, we think to the 2015 Truth and Reconciliation Commission:

“Reconciliation between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Canadians, from an Aboriginal perspective, also requires reconciliation with the natural world… Reconciliation will never occur unless we are also reconciled with the earth.” National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation

Let us renew our commitments to both Land and the Peoples upon it. 🧡
