Imagine a camp where learning doesn't just happen in a classroom, it happens behind the scenes, alongside the professionals who solve real-world problems every day.

Thank you to the team at Nieuport Aviation and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport !

Today, our Young Engineers campers had an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at Nieuport Aviation at Billy Bishop Airport. They discovered that engineering isn't just about building airplanes, it's about designing systems, keeping thousands of passengers safe, coordinating people and technology, and solving complex problems every single day.

From airport operations and safety to facilities management, our campers saw firsthand how teamwork, innovation, and engineering thinking keep an airport running smoothly. They asked questions, explored spaces most people never get to see, and learned from the professionals behind the scenes.

At Young Engineers, we believe the best way to inspire future innovators is through real-world experiences. When children meet the people who turn ideas into solutions, they begin to realize that they can be the engineers solving tomorrow's challenges. ✈️🛠️💡

🏗️ Welcome to the Young Engineers Camp!

At Young Engineers Camp, our campers don't just build projects—they learn how to manage a budget like real engineers!

Every team gets a budget, building materials, and one mission: bring their idea to life.

Sounds easy... until the money runs out! 😅

That's when the real engineering begins:
💰 Negotiating with teammates
🤝 Trading resources
💡 Finding creative solutions
💼 Earning more "money" through teamwork and initiative
📋 Even filing petitions to convince camp leadership for extra funding! 😂

Who knew engineering could teach entrepreneurship, communication, problem-solving, and a little friendly lobbying too?

The biggest lesson? Great ideas aren't built with unlimited money, they're built with creativity, collaboration, and smart decisions.

Future engineers... and future entrepreneur s? We think so! 🚀

At Young Engineers, we believe the best way to inspire future innovators is to learn from the people shaping our world today.

Our campers enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at Superkül Architecture, working alongside professional architects and discovering how real communities are designed. From asking questions to collaborating on their own project, they experienced what it's like to think and create like engineers and architects.

These are the experiences that bring STEM to life, learning from the best in the field and seeing how engineering and design solve real-world problems.

🚀 What if we stopped teaching kids what to think... and started teaching them how to think like engineers?

At Young Engineers, we don't build projects for children—we give them the space, tools, and mentorship to build, test, fail, improve, and invent on their own.

Imagine a place where asking "What if...?" is encouraged.
Where mistakes become discoveries.
Where creativity meets real-world problem solving.
Where every child leaves believing, "I can figure this out."

That's the kind of learning that lasts far beyond summer camp.

Because tomorrow's engineers, inventors, designers, and problem-solvers aren't created by memorizing answers—they're inspired by having the freedom to explore.

Tomorrow Engineered. 💡

🏙️ Young Engineers Summer Camp is not just a camp. It is a behind-the-scenes experience into the real world.

A big thank you to everyone at NAK Design Strategies for welcoming our campers and showing them how communities are designed from the ground up.

Our campers met the professionals who help shape parks, neighbourhoods, and public spaces. They learned how landscape architects, engineers, planners, and designers work together to solve real-world challenges.

It is about seeing how ideas become reality, asking big questions, solving problems, and imagining a better future.

Because the best learning happens when children see what is possible.
