!!! PAID WORK-STUDY POSITION !!!

Applications for Communication Assistant Work-Study Positions are being accepted until May 29, 2020! This part-time, remote position is open to all U of T Undergraduate and Graduate students currently registered for Summer 2020 semester.

Description of Position:

To support the creation of a new departmental website, the Communication Assistant(s) will help gather, collate, and transfer content to the new Drupal website from an existing WordPress website. The successful candidate(s) will track, parse, and edit website content for approval as per guidance and support provided by the Department. Additional assistance with departmental database, newsletter, and catalogue work may be required.

Experience with any of the following is welcomed: website development; designing for online user experience; creating effective inclusive design and communication skills; familiarity with information and communications standards as per the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and detailed database experience.

This position requires the following skills and aptitude: data management; organizational; detail-oriented; dynamic-thinking; problem-solving; and collaborative team work.

This position will provide experiential learning in online technical skills, applying AODA standards, and effective communication designs. At the Department of Italian Studies, the successful candidate will be exposed to a vibrant academic community with extensive connection to the Italian Canadian community.

Our association is committed to providing social and cultural events to the UTSG community. Any full-time undergraduate student is welcome to fill out an application, regardless of your cultural background. All executive members will received CCR recognition at the end of the term.
