Canada Post is removing street mailboxes and locking down postal services around Toronto's upcoming FIFA World Cup event spaces. The postal agency expects major mail processing and delivery delays from June 11 to July 19 due to heavy traffic and massive security footprints around the FIFA Fan Festival at Fort York and match days at Exhibition Place.

Residents and businesses located in neighborhoods with postal codes starting with M6K, M6J, and M5V will face minor delivery interruptions and a total suspension of commercial mail pickups on the five weekdays when matches are being played.

Additionally, four local post offices expect backlogs from road closures, and several physical street letterboxes will be completely removed from the area until July 22. Any mail that cannot be delivered through the gridlock will be held at local depots and prioritized for the following day.

⚽ Thousands of tickets remain unsold for Toronto’s 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, even as prices for Canada’s opener climb as high as $1,370 for the cheapest seats. 💸

Toronto will host six matches, but concerns are growing about whether high pricing will fill the stadium, with some premium seats topping $3,100. 🏟️

FIFA says demand is still extremely strong compared to past tournaments, while analysts note higher prices can still maximize revenue even without sellouts.

Hotel bookings in the city have also stayed fairly normal so far for summer. 🏨

Canadian teens are getting free access to nearly 200 GoodLife Fitness clubs this summer, saving parents roughly 40 dollars bi-weekly per child. The popular Teen Fitness program returns from July 3 to September 8, opening its doors to youth aged 12 to 17 across Canada.

Participants will have full access to gym equipment, free weights, turf zones, and the digital workout app seven days a week between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Toronto teens can use any local club for a maximum of two hours per day, though they must complete their last check-in by 3 p.m. Registration is currently open online and requires a parent or legal guardian to complete the sign-up process.

Expect a massive influx of Gen Z fitness enthusiasts at GTA locations like the Yonge and Dundas or Liberty Village clubs all summer long.
