✨ Meet Jana, one of the 2025 Amadeusz Scholarship recipients! ✨

Jana is currently working towards completing the Community and Justice Services program at Humber College. She sees the Amadeusz Scholarship as an open door to something she never thought was possible. “I thought education and all the doors that it opens would not be available to me. Now I have hope for my future.”

She wants to use her experiences to help others who may be in similar situations, sharing, “This is what I want to show others in the justice system, that they are not their mistakes.”

🎉 We’re excited to announce the launch of the updated TYES Frontline Workers’ Toolkit - Educational Attainment for MVP Youth!

Originally created in partnership with the Toronto Youth Equity Strategy (TYES) in 2016, this toolkit has been updated to ensure that youth and frontline workers have access to the most current and accurate information on educational pathways and supports.

Inside, you’ll find guidance on:
✅ OSSD completion and high school equivalency programs (CAEC, ACE)
✅ College, university, skilled trades, and apprenticeships
✅ Transition and bridging programs
✅ Financial supports like OSAP and scholarships

✨ Meet Breanna, one of the 2025 Amadeusz Scholarship recipients! ✨

Breanna is currently enrolled in the Hairstyling program at Trillium College. For her, the Amadeusz Scholarship was an opportunity for her to prioritize herself and her educational journey. She shared, “As a mother of four children, myself and my needs always come last but I have been focusing on my education and it will eventually pay off.”

✨ Meet Zaire, one of the 2025 Amadeusz Scholarship recipients! ✨

He is currently in the Urban and Regional Planning program at Mohawk College. He shared that this scholarship opportunity means a lot to him because “it represents more than just financial help. It shows that someone out there sees potential in me. That kind of support means everything. It makes me feel like I’m not alone in this and that there are people who want to see me succeed.” Amadeusz is honored to support Zaire, and all of our Amadeusz Scholarship recipients, on their educational pathways!

🎓✨ Congratulations to the 2025 Amadeusz Scholarship recipients!

This year, 10 young people who are pursuing full-time post-secondary education received $2,000 each to support their academic journeys. In total, Amadeusz awarded $20,000 in scholarships in 2025.

A special thanks to ScotiaRISE and the for making this year’s scholarships possible through their generous funding and commitment to creating opportunities. Originally, Amadeusz planned to award $10,000 in scholarship funds thanks to the generous support of ScotiaRISE. With additional funding from the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation®, we were able to double that amount — giving even more young people the opportunity to reach their educational goals.
