🚨 PGWP EXPIRING? DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!
If your Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is approaching expiry and you want to continue your life and career in Canada, you should start planning your next pathway before your PGWP expires.
❌ Don’t wait until the last few days.
❌ Don’t assume you can simply apply after expiry with no consequences.
❌ Don’t choose a random program just to maintain your status.
Once your status expires, you may need to apply for restoration, and there is no guarantee that your restoration or new study permit application will be approved. You also cannot start studying while waiting for restoration and a new study permit. (Canada)
✅ PLAN BEFORE YOUR PGWP EXPIRES
If studying again is part of your strategy, research programs that align with your career goals and potential PR pathways well in advance.
Depending on your situation, you may need to consider:
🇨🇦 PR pathways
🎓 Further education
💼 Employment-based pathways
📋 Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)
📈 Express Entry
Your next program should be selected based on your individual profile, eligibility and long-term goals — not simply because your PGWP is expiring.
⏰ Don’t wait until your PGWP expires to start planning.

🚨 PGWP EXPIRING? LOOK AT NEW BRUNSWICK 🇨🇦

📚 Study an eligible PSW/ECE program in NB
➡️ Secure a related full-time NB job
➡️ Submit your EOI
➡️ Receive an ITA, if selected
➡️ Apply for provincial nomination
➡️ Apply for the T13 work permit
➡️ Apply for PR
⚠️ Important: The pilot has been extended in a limited capacity through the end of 2027, and eligibility is specific to the participating programs, colleges and requirements.

🚨 UGEC CANADA OFFER - CCA TUITION FEE GUARANTEE — READ THIS BEFORE YOU ENROL!
Thinking about studying CCA in Nova Scotia? 🇨🇦
💰 Some students may qualify for a Tuition Fee Guarantee — but it’s NOT an automatic refund!
To remain eligible, students must meet conditions including:
✅ 90% minimum attendance
✅ 70%+ passing grades
✅ Satisfactory practicum evaluations
✅ Professional conduct
✅ Participate in Career Services
✅ Attend required job interviews
✅ Pass the Nova Scotia provincial licensing exam
⚠️ And here’s the BIG one: if you receive a job offer during the 6-month period, you are no longer eligible for the Tuition Fee Guarantee.
📌 The policy has specific conditions and exclusions, so read the full policy before relying on the guarantee.

🚨 PGWP EXPIRING? Don’t automatically jump into another 2-year diploma or 4-year Bachelor’s!
If your goal is to build a career in healthcare and explore a potential PR pathway in Nova Scotia, a CCA program may be an option worth considering. 🇨🇦
Instead of investing 4+ years and significantly more money into another Bachelor’s degree, or spending 2 years on another diploma, some eligible PGWP holders may consider a shorter CCA program and then explore the Nova Scotia Graduate Stream after graduation.
🎯 CCA → Healthcare Career → Potential NS Graduate PNP → PR
⚠️ But remember: completing a CCA program does NOT automatically guarantee PR. You must meet the program, employment, immigration and provincial eligibility requirements in effect when you apply.
