The Groove Collective is proud to feature the work of in this Saturday’s performance of “IN MY GROOVE” at ! Swipe ⬅️ to learn more about Laxmi ✨
Laxmi presents: EPIPHANY
This piece is a breath of realization, a quiet shift of the heart when something or someone once cherished no longer feels the same. It asks you to recall that passion you lost midway, the spark that dimmed before you could understand why you began at all. Yet within that fading lies discovery: the realization that letting go is not an ending, but growth. Epiphany is that hopeful breath—the one that carries you forward, stronger, toward the horizon of your own becoming.

A look back at last year’s performance as we gear up for this years ✨ we had the absolute best time sharing with community members, including (and especially) our student audience 🫶. Your energy was everything.
Snippets from “Why She Moves”, a collaborative work between ._ah (choreography, performance) (concept, direction and guidance).
I move. She moves. 3 hearts. 1 groove.
Clips above feature ._ah ‘s solo and a final groove that highlights the common ground (😉) between artists despite their unique life and dance experiences.
Yes. We cried. Several times. We’ve known these dancers since the first year of our programming and to watch them grow into themselves, as artists…humans. Ugh, yep. No words. We’d just like to acknowledge that this work was deeply personal and Katelyn, Emma and Nia held space, supported and celebrated each other in the most beautiful of ways throughout the process. What a gift to be able to work with you in this way.
