Some stories stay with you long after you've finished reading.

"The Dinosaur and the Whales" is one such story. In one of our most meaningful Hooked on Books interviews, Teachers on Call President & CEO Joanne Sallay sits down with Canadian executive, father, and first-time author Matt Cammaert to discuss his debut picture book and why he created it to honour the memory of his daughter, Quinn, through a story inspired by love, resilience, and cherished Muskoka memories.

Matt speaks candidly about the preventable tragedy of impaired boating and why supporting MADD Canada's mission to prevent impaired driving on both roads and waterways is so important.

We are grateful to Matt for sharing Quinn's story and to Canada for contributing to this important conversation.
