I didn't know this Led Zeppelin song existed until one of my students asked to learn it — one listen and I was hooked, so I recorded my own version. Full video is up on YouTube (link in comments)👇

If a song like this has ever felt out of reach, that's exactly the kind of thing I love helping students work through. I'm taking on a few new guitar students this September, online (worldwide and 🇨🇦) or in-person in Toronto — happy to do a free 15-min chat first if you want to see if it's a fit.

🎸 Discovering a beautiful hidden gem by Brazilian guitarist and composer Luiz Bonfá.

This is my interpretation of “Sambolero” (1959), a wonderful piece that reflects the elegance and beauty of Brazilian guitar music.

Luiz Bonfá was one of Brazil’s most influential guitar composers, known for his expressive melodies, sophisticated harmonies, and unique guitar style.

I hope you enjoy 🎶

What do you think of this beautiful piece? Have you heard Luiz Bonfá’s music before?

This beautiful piece was written in 1974 for Chet Atkins while he was in the hospital. Jerry wrote it as a musical gift to lift his friend’s spirits — a beautiful example of how music can carry friendship, kindness, and encouragement.

I hope this performance brings some joy to your day 😊😊
