Hello families and friends!

I hope you are all well. I just wanted to take a moment to share some information with you about an upcoming AMI training being offered by Toronto's AMI training centre - The Foundation for Montessori Education, opened by Renilde Montessori (Dr. Maria Montessori's grand daughter) in 1989.

As many of you know, Dr. Montessori never protected her name, and as a result there are many schools and teacher training centres using her name in an inauthentic manner. By the time she realized she needed to protect her name, it was too late... As a means of protecting the integrity of her methodology, the AMI was established in 1929 by Dr. Montessori and her son Mario in Denmark. Today, it has the job of offering teacher trainings and accrediting schools all over the world!

Starting in May, the Toronto AMI training centre (Foundation for Montessori Education) is beginning a primary (3-6) blended Casa training.

There is a huge shortage in properly trained Montessori teachers and this is a great opportunity for you, or someone you know to be part of Dr. Montessori's movement towards peace.

Please consider applying for the training if you are looking to change careers, or share this information with someone that you know that might be interested!

A reminder this is an international designation, and would therefore allow for someone with the training, to teach anywhere in the world :)

Exciting News: A New Montessori Collaboration in Canada!

The Foundation for Montessori Education and the Montessori Training Centre of British Columbia are thrilled to announce a new partnership. The two AMI Teacher Training Centres in Canada are coming together to offer Blended AMI Primary (3-6) Diploma Programs that combine the strengths and expertise of both institutions.

Starting in late May of 2025 and continuing through July 2026, this collaborative program provides students with a unique opportunity to attend online lectures from the experienced trainers of both centres. At the same time, students will have the flexibility to attend all in-person classes in either Toronto or Vancouver. Stay tuned for more details!

Apply for a blended AMI (Association Montessori International) course (online and in person) through the FME.

If you are currently working with a school, you could be eligible for the COJG which would cover a large portion of your tuition if your application is accepted!
