Caron Morgan Development

As a Personality Dimensions Workshop Facilitator TM, I’ve created dynamic, interactive, workshops

Operating as usual

So, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted on my self-development page.
And the reason isn’t because I’m no longer passionate about learning how to live lauthentically.

It’s because I’ve been doing just that - learning how to practically live my best life.

And I can say without a doubt there’s no better feeling than learning what satisfies your soul.

Quick plug , I own Birdy’s Daughter™️ Jamaica Blue Mountain® coffee company.

Never in a million years would I have expected that learning about this rare coffee would bring together all my gifts, interests and passions.

Until a few years ago, I didn’t even like coffee.

But I discovered my business allows me to create and that is very fulfilling for me.

I also love that it brings me in contact with so many different kinds of people, artisans, creatives, coffee lovers, accountants, lawyers…

It allows me to learn world history and share the story of my ancestors which matters to me.

I’ve discovered I want to see the world, coffee fields in Vietnam, Colombia, Brazil, not to mention beaches in Albania and Corfu and always, always I return to my beloved Jamaica .
The wild, beautiful place I was born and who I am finally making peace with.

And one day, I know I’ll find myself in Mother Africa.

I write all this to say,
it is never too late to discover your passion, your purpose, your joy.

I don’t care how young or old you are, your purpose is always inside of you waiting for you to discover it.

Keep getting to know the things that make you happy, give you a sense of accomplishment and find ways to experience those feelings over and over again.

Don’t always play it so safe.
Try and then try again.

I will forever stand behind my belief that one of the things that kick-started my journey to finding out who I was,
began when I took a personality assessment workshop.

It helped me to see how I was wired.
We are not all the same, and knowing yourself helps you to accept yourself.

I‘m wired to find fulfillment in interpersonal relationships. I navigate the world through tapping in to how others are feeling.
I also need variety and freedom to feel happy and I’m an extrovert so too much alone time can be draining.

Procedures and very structured environments can at times distress and drain me.

Instead of feeling guilty about what I’m not, comparing myself to others.
I can embrace what I am.

As Rihanna sang, ‘Just live YOUR life’.

If you’d like some guidance or support on the journey to finding your joy, feel free to contact me, I’d love to help.

The personality assessment can be done online and I’m a certified facilitator.

Never let your circumstances deter you from your goals.

I took this photo to remind me of how important mindset is in building success.

I’m standing in the space my booth was set up in this past weekend.

It was an absolutely beautiful space, perfect for our needs and we had a phenomenal weekend at the event.

But when I first walked in and was told I wasn’t in the “main room”, I immediately started assuming I was getting the worst spot, no one would see me tucked away out here…

Basically worrying I was at a disadvantage,
which really is about feeling unworthy and that you’ve been dealt an unfair hand.

As I caught myself going down that very familiar dead-end road,
I reminded myself of why I was there.

I was there to sell coffee and share the story of coffee.

My success was not dependent on the physical space.

My success was dependent on my ability to sincerely connect and share this beautiful coffee from that most of the world is unaware of.

That’s it.
That was my mission statement.

I got focused and clear and ready.

I discovered that every person that visited the event had to pass by our booth.
We were not at the the back as I had feared.

We were close to the front.
And everyone had to pass us to get to the main room.

If I had remained in a negative space, my experience would have stayed negative.

We create our reality with our thoughts.

So this photo reminds me that what might initially appear to be something not so great,
can turn into the best thing ever,
if we have the faith to believe that good always comes our way,
and the determination to believe in ourselves.

It's amazing how introversion and extraversion affect our moods. As an entrepreneur, I often work alone. A whole day can go by without me interacting with another soul. I realized that days like those left me feeling a little down and I wondered if I was feeling depressed. As I've learned more about what being an extrovert means, I realized what I was feeling wasn't depression. I was drained because I hadn't received enough outside stimulation. Extroverts recharge by going outward. I learned how just going outside for a walk or sitting in a coffee shop for a while dramatically improved my mood. The minute I hit the road I felt better. So, if you get charged up being around others, next time you're feeling down - check in to make sure you haven't been isolating yourself too much. So remember, Get out there!

On this endless but incredibly rewarding journey of self-development for the purpose of true happiness, I've come to understand the power of taking responsibility for what happens to me in my life. A victim mindset was something I nurtured without even realizing it. I took the position that life handed me things and I just had to make the best of it. But truly, discovering that when my mindset changed, my life changed, made me understand how true the Bible verse that says, "so a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." I am whatever I believe I am. Healthy, loving self-talk is so important. Remind yourself, you are capable, smart, worthy, chosen. It isn't always easy but it's your life, your choice. Why not choose victory?

Today, I send love to my sister, Ann-Marie. Unfortunately, our relationship is complicated. But she remains my little sister, fellow childhood traveler and my flesh and blood. I also send out love to my siblings from another mother and father who ride or die with me through all the crazy, beautiful stuff life throws our way. Here's one of these sisters, the lovely, Karyn Chan.

Golfer Loses $2.2 Million After Ignoring Caddie's Advice

A 24 year old Spanish golfer named Jon Rahm was actually in the lead at The Players Championship when to the confusion of everyone he decided to ignore his caddie's advice and sent the ball straight into the water. It's so important to have smart people around us and to be smart enough to take good advice. You win some, you lose some.

Resilience ensures when we fall we get right back up. Fortunately, like a muscle we can strengthen our ability to be more resilient.

Use your imagination, child. Never stop dreaming, we encourage kids but somewhere along the way to growing up we start thinking more and imagining less. Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world. “ The other day, I was talking to a very accomplished dentist at my gym. He also travels the world learning to cook from master chefs and is a photographer working on his next exhibition. He told me he spends the last half an hour before he sleeps just imagining. He’s been doing it since he was a child. The world of the imagination is the birthplace of our biggest accomplishments. I need to go there more often. Thank you, Doris Villalobos for taking my picture. I love how creative and imaginative you continue to be.
