The Canadian Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines is a collaborative healthcare team that provides a treatment protocol for sleep disorders.
As Canadian practitioners, we face a unique set of challenges. Having a socialized medical system, our individual fee-for-service dental practices operate independently of the Canadian medical model. Physicians prescribe CPAP, and though short-term therapy can be very successful, non-compliance creates a large percentage of patients who have no medically recognized form of alternative treatment.
