Join Sol and Jacky as they guide you through a unique laughing exercise. This event promises fun breathing exercises, music, and LOTS of laughter.

What a great day this was. There WILL be another workshop! Wouldn't have been possible without everyone involved: John Testar, Bilal Nasser, Sam Mason, Eugene Fryntov, Rustam Atahojaev, Eric Bhatnagar, Lukas Harman and Small World Centre.

I was so honoured to facilitate this event! Thank you so much to all those who participated for your openness, kindness, and vulnerability! I think it's clear how much music can give...especially now! I'm so excited to see what we'll do next...

Music-ography with Sol Younan

Friday, March 19 | 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Sol Younan regularly performs as a soloist and accompanist along with singers and other instrumentalists. A native of Windsor, Sol is an experienced & compassionate teacher. As a firm believer in music education for everyone, he has coordinated music education programs for students with special needs.

Sol will guide you through the principles of active music listening. This event will encourage listening with intention. As we listen to pre-selected pieces of music, we will learn how to: ​isolate rhythms, densities, instruments, tones, etc.

We will analyze:
​How does this influence mood? What do you picture? How does it make you feel?

Participants are required to provide the title of a song or piece of music that they feel represents them upon registry. Each participant will present the song that they had pre-chosen for this exercise and discuss why they chose this song: What do you picture? How does it make you feel? Why does this song resonate with you?
