A lot can happen between your first day on campus and Convocation.
We asked our grads to reflect on their Lassonde experience and share what this moment means to them.

We hosted a delegation from Nottingham Trent University’s construction group for a week of focused discussions on research and collaboration in construction technology.
The visit, building on an existing partnership led by Professor Mojgan Jadidi, centred on expanding joint work in digital twin systems and intelligent data analytics.
Across meetings and tours of our CD3 and MOVE labs, both teams explored opportunities for deeper research alignment and future collaboration. Thanks to Emmanuel Manu, Isibor Kennedy Ihianle, and Amrit Sagoo for joining us.

Toronto’s streets can be challenging to navigate, but for pedestrians, cyclists, and people with disabilities, the obstacles go far beyond traffic.
Our researchers are developing automated, sustainable traffic systems to improve how cities manage and optimize mobility across all modes of transportation. This includes Professor James Elder’s work on AI-powered real-time traffic analytics to support better traffic flow, and Professor Gunho Sohn’s digital twin technologies that help test and improve safety and accessibility before systems are deployed.

Moving safely through traffic chaos - Ascend Magazine Toronto's traffic has been called the worst in North America, worse even than New York City and Los Angeles. As a pedestrian or cyclist, it is a tricky, sometimes deadly, maze to navigate. For someone with a disability, perhaps in a wheelchair, the challenges are compounded. Even robots have a tough...
