Summer break is flying by, and we’re reminiscing today about our amazing Bundesjugendspiele (Track & Field Day) we hosted at the end of the school year! 🏃‍♀️☀️ It was a great day of sports, sunshine, and a few spontaneous soccer games⚽️

We’re missing all our students and can’t wait to welcome everyone back in just a few short weeks for the 2026/27 school year! 💙

Friday marked the last day of the 2025–2026 school year! 🎉

We celebrated an amazing year together as a school community, congratulated our Grade 4 and Grade 8 graduates, and said goodbye to a few of our wonderful teachers as they move on to new opportunities and adventures. We wish them all the very best and will miss them here at the GIST!

We hope all our students, families, and staff have a fun and relaxing summer break! ☀️

From classroom to brand-new student lounge: during Project Week, a group of students took on the challenge of transforming one of our classrooms. From choosing a wall colour, to painting it themselves, to buying furniture and setting everything up, they did it all on their own. Great work, everyone! 👏 We're so excited for our students to enjoy this new space 😊

Senior Kindergarten Graduation 2026 🎓💛

We are so proud of our youngest students who celebrated their graduation from Kindergarten today! We can't wait to welcome them into grade 1 in the fall 🤩 Great work, SKs!

Project Week at the GIST! Our elementary students have spent project week diving into the middle ages: building a castle, making their own costumes and swords, and learning about medieval life along the way. Tomorrow they're off to Medieval Times, and they sure are ready!🏰⚔

Unsere Grundschüler haben die Projektwoche dem Mittelalter gewidmet: eine Burg gebaut, Kostüme und Schwerter gebastelt und dabei eine Menge gelernt. Morgen gehts zu den Medieval Times, und sie sind bereit!🏰⚔

A look back at our first-ever high school graduation ceremony 🎓🤩

We were so excited to celebrate the Class of 2026 alongside families, staff, and special guests, including Consul General Anne Wagner-Mitchell from the German Consulate General Toronto. The ceremony included speeches, student performances, and the presentation of Ontario Secondary School Diplomas. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this important milestone in our school's history!

Soccer, karaoke, face painting, glitter tattoos, a smell test, cake and German Bratwurst... there was fun for everyone. A huge thank you to all volunteers who made it happen!
