the University of Toronto’s alumni has included two Governors General, four Prime Ministers of Canada and ten Nobel Laureates. The University, including St. George campus in downtown Toronto, UTM in Mississauga and UTSC in Scarborough, offers more than 700 undergraduate programs, many second entry professional programs in education, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, law and medicine as well as 215 Master’s and Doctoral level graduate programs in a wide variety of fields. It ranks 1st in Canada and among top 20 by different international institution ranking systems. To better facilitate the application process of the best and brightest Chinese students into our undergraduate programs, the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) initiated the innovative Green Path Program to attract international students from China into the undergraduate programs at UTSC since 2004. The University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) Green Path Program is comprised of four distinct parts:
A 12-week summer University of Toronto Academic Preparation Program
0.5 University of Toronto Credit Course: Exploring Cross-Cultural Perspectives in Academic Contexts
A 12-week summer residential experience on the UTSC campus, and
Admission to a four-year degree program at the University of Toronto Scarborough for those students who successfully complete the Academic Preparation Program. Since 2004, about 1,400 students have applied for the Green Path program through different partner schools and other organizations. Many of them have graduated from UTSC and either entered graduate schools worldwide or careers in various fields.
