The Assembly

The Assembly provides opportunities for developing talent in monthly showcases. We mentor new players. Viva la revolution!

We facilitate a coalition of the most dedicated longform teams in the city, and coordinate workshops featuring Toronto’s favourite longform instructors The Assembly started in the basement of a Shoppers Drug Mart. Now we’re a longform improv collective made up of a dozen teams. We facilitate a coalition of the most dedicated longform teams in the city, and coordinate workshops featuring Toronto’s favourite longform instructors. We’re not governed by a board of directors, or a distant imperialist overlord. The Assembly is an artist-run company dedicated to making good improv and great improvisers. The Assembly’s goal is to provide opportunities for new players and coaches, build and support new longform teams, and to showcase Toronto’s unique take on game-based longform improvisation.
