The Children's Place Family Home Daycare My name is Sarah. I am a registered Early Childhood Educator, registered with the College of ECE's.

The Children's Place Daycare provides families with childcare in an eccentric, nurturing home environment, with low child to adult ratio and affordable rates, but offers the high quality, developmental activities that are fostered in a daycare centre. Graduated from Conestoga College in December of 2002. I have been operating a home base daycare since 2003. At The Children's Place daycare you are guaranteed proficient childcare for your family. Here you will receive Daily logs informing you on your child's day including toileting, eating, playing areas they had indulged in. Monthly newsletters and calendars inform parents on weekly themes that the children will be exploring. Daycare Families have access to our private page with up to date photos & videos of the children interacting in daycare, also providing extended communication with myself and other daycare parents. Daily activities include:
-Breakfast, morning snack, Lunch and afternoon snack (abiding by the Canadian food guide)
-Outdoor play (we have a wonderful play structure in our fenced yard, local library, splash park and community centre within 10 minute walk)
-Arts and crafts
-Circle time-including French songs & words
-Nap time/quiet time
-Free play
-Music and movement
-Dramatic play
-Fine motor activities
-Gross motor activities
-Hygiene practice (hand washing, teeth brushing, toileting)

I believe all children are unique individuals that should be recognized, embraced and praised. I offer a loving, stimulating environment that allows children to grow and succeed. Creating healthy, trusting relationships with the children in my care and establishing respectful partnerships with parents is of most importance to me and my Daycare philosophy. The Children's Place daycare toy drive has come to an end. It was a very successful toy drive considering we are just 7 average families within the daycare family.There will be lots of smiles on little faces (and their parents faces) this christmas because of you!
our 2nd set of toy donations will go to Rosalie Hall.
Rosalie Hall is a young parent resource center assisting young parents in need and their children with a wide range of community, residential, educational, and child development services.

We are 2/3 into our toy drive ...

Thank you to all the Daycare Families who participated in our toy drive for the Auxiliary Police Toy Drive. Because of Your big hearts, children who are in various women’s shelters and community centers in Toronto are going to have a Merry Christmas. You are all Amazing!

This Year to help get the Daycare into the Christmas spirit we will be taking part in a Toy Drive with the Toronto Police.
The Daycare will be accepting New, unused and unwrapped toys December 5th-13th to take to 41 division ( 2222 Eglinton Ave. E.). On Dec. 15, Auxiliary officers and volunteers will make their rounds, with Santa in tow, to deliver the busload of toys to the awaiting kids.
Auxiliary Police Toy Drive benefits children who are in various women’s shelters and community centers in Toronto.
Wednesday parents can Purchase Coffee and Muffin in the morning for $2.oo . The Children will be baking Cookies to sell to parents Thursday, December 8th and Friday, December 9th.
All money raised will go to purchasing toys for the toy Drive.
