Collagraphy is a printmaking process in which materials are glued or sealed to a rigid substrate to create a plate. In the spring term, our grade 4-6 class learned about this printmaking technique. We designed and created our own relief printing blocks using cardstock, string, and cardboard, and stamped our blocks onto painted paper with block printing ink. These unique collagraph prints were made by Amelia T (Gr4), Hadley A (Gr6), Amelia C (Gr4), and Maitê B (Gr4). We’ll be learning about printmaking in our art camps this summer.
