Doctoral student and Indigenous scholar -poli-sci.bsky.social Ryan Fleming and Professor -lightfoot.bsky.social, co-director of the International Institute for Peoples' Rights and Policy, recently returned from the Institute's inaugural meeting in Geneva. Convening international Indigenous leaders, scholars, practitioners, youth, and emerging researchers, they addressed the international framework relating to the rights of Indigenous peoples through direct participation in the 19th session of the UN Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP).
