Congratulations Sam Primucci, A Legacy of Business and Community Leadership.
CiBPA Toronto was pleased to attend, the National Congress of Italian Canadians (NCIC) annual Tutti Insieme Gala, bringing together community leaders, philanthropists, and members of the Italian-Canadian diaspora to celebrate extraordinary community contributions. The highlight of the evening was honoring Sam Primucci, founder of Pizza Nova, for his decades of business leadership and community support.
After immigrating to Canada from Basilicata, Italy, Sam Primucci co-founded Pizza Nova in 1963. Over six decades, the family business expanded into an iconic brand with over 150 locations across Ontario. The Gala highlighted how Sam Primucci’s journey—from arriving in Canada to building a major business— represents the positive impact of the Italian-Canadian community. Throughout this growth, Primucci kept community stewardship central to the company’s mission. Decades of support for Variety Village via the That’s Amore Pizza for Kids campaign, raising millions for children with physical abilities; home to the Primucci Pavilion. Scarborough Health Network and continuous sponsorship of community initiatives, youth sports, and senior support services and many more.
The Primucci family received a warm welcome from attendees, community leaders, and elected officials. Sam was joined by his family, including his sons Domenic and Michael Primucci.
Domenic who currently serves as President of Pizza Nova and continues to champion the philanthropic principles established by his father, reinforcing the family’s commitment to giving back to the GTA.
Congratulations, Sam and the Primucci family, on this very well-deserved recognition.
